Sharp Drop In Underage Drinking At PROJEKT REVOLUTION PNC Concert
August 31, 2007Kevin Penton of the Asbury Park Press reports: Of the 26 people arrested at the Projekt Revolution concert Wednesday (August 29) at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, only five were cited for underage drinking, police said.
The number charged with underage drinking during Wednesday's concert is a sharp drop from earlier events at the Holmdel center this year, when dozens of people under the age of 21 were arrested for drinking alcohol illegally.
Five people — four 19-year-olds and a 20-year-old — were charged with underage drinking at Wednesday's concert, which featured LINKIN PARK, HIM and MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, said Sgt. Jeanne Hengemuhle.
Eight people were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and one concertgoer, Vincent Delgatto, 43, of New Windsor, N.Y., was charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a trooper and disorderly conduct.
The youngest person arrested was an 18-year-old who was charged with possession of fictitious documents, Hengemuhle said.
